  19. I suspect it's due to media hype, and peopel not actually sitting down
  20. and thinking about it. One sees all these monitors advertised as *NON
  21. INTERLACE*, so your PC buying public thinks that it must be
  22. good. Doesn't matter that at the same frame refresh rate
  23. (i.e. graphics bandwidth) an interlace display actually flickers
  24. considerably less than the signle field display. Can't let facts get
  25. in the way of a good rant now can we?
